Numerical models for joint operation of subsea wastewater outfalls

Goran Lončar, Roko Andričević, Vedran Petrov

Abstract

The existing sewerage systems are currently being improved, by adding wastewater purification devices and subsea outfalls, in the towns of Split, Solin, Kaštela and Trogir. The authors present the results obtained by the analysis of environmental impacts of the existing outfalls at Katalinić brig, Stobreč, Duilovo, Hotel Lav, Omiš, Sutivan (on the Brač Island), and of the planned outfalls for Čiovo, Supetar (on the Brač Island) and Podstrana, specifically relating to the space and time concentration of faecal coliforms.
