Marta Doležalova, Vlasta Zemanova, Jaroslav Danko, Laszlo Kovacs

Abstract

Extensive field investigations in exploratory tunnels and their evaluation by numerical models, are considered to be an useful tool for rock mass characterization. Convergence measurements performed in exploratory tunnel, and their modeling and interpretation by numerical methods, are described. Convergence measurements, measurement methodology and the corresponding results are given in the first part of the paper. The second part focuses on the modeling and interpretation of results by numerical methods
