Analysis of laminated composite plates

Abstract

The stress and strain analysis of freely supported laminated composite plates, conducted using double trigonometric series in partial theory of layers, is presented. The change of stress at typical plate sections is presented for the symmetric and antisymmetric disposition of layers. The influence of the number of members in a series on a maximum deflection value, and the influence of the number of layers on maximum deflection values, for normal and shear stresses in sections, is presented.
