Optimisation of fibre reinforced concrete for bending load

Marijan Skazlić, Damir Tkalčić, Dejan Šomoši

Abstract

The paper starts with assertion that the fibre reinforced concrete most frequently contains 30 kg/cu.m. of steel fibres. An optimum fibre reinforced concrete composition, with the mentioned quantity of steel fibres, was selected and, after hardening, the FRC resistance to bending load was tested. In addition to testing influence of hybrid steel fibres on fibre reinforced concrete properties, the influence of fibre orientation was also analyzed.
