Stress in multilayered composite slabs

Marina Rakočević

Abstract

General notions about multilayered composite slabs are given in the introductory part of the paper. The analysis of slabs of medium and high thickness, based on the finite element method, is described. It is emphasized that the mathematical model presented in this paper provides a more realistic distribution of stress along the thickness of multilayered slabs. It is demonstrated that the described finite element model can be used for the calculation of slabs with different orientation of layers, and even with different physicomechanical properties of individual layers.
