Subsea outfall for Bunculuka campground in Baška
Abstract
An overview of more than a century of tourist activity in Baška on the island of Krk is given, and an emphasis is placed on benefits gained in recent years from infrastructure improvements, such as the recently completed sewerage system with an appropriate waste water purification plant. Problems with the subsea outfall, built some thirty years ago to accommodate the Bunculuka campground, are also presented. Although current problems have been solved, the only long-lasting solution would be to connect the entire campground to the Baška sewerage system, as the latter is more than capable of accommodating such additional influx of waste water.
