Seismic safety of prefabricated reinforced-concrete halls - analytical study

Matej Fischinger, Miha Kramar, Tatjana Isaković

Abstract

The analytical study of prefabricated reinforced concrete halls is described in the paper. The use is made of hysteresis model which takes into account reduction in bearing capacity within a specific cycle and at repeated cycles with equal displacements. The model is also used in risk assessment with probability analysis. The results have enabled critical assessment of corresponding provisions contained in Eurocode 8, 2004, namely the performance factor and the related design earthquake force.
