Typical bridge details

Abstract

Results obtained during typical road bridge detail analyses, which are continuously made at the Department for Bridges of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Zagreb, are presented in the paper. The analysis is based on: comparison of good and less good solutions applied on the existing structures, study of situation in the surrounding and EU countries, analysis of modern regulations, and efforts made to increase durability of structures. The details that meet all maintenance, durability and cost-efficiency criteria are recommended.
