Wood as building material of the future

Abstract

Wood as building material that is likely to be increasingly represented in future construction work is analyzed. The research presented in this paper is based on the survey conducted in order to find out how the public feels about the use of wood as building material. The results of the survey have confirmed that wooden structures meet requirements for use in modern buildings. An emphasis is placed on environmental suitability of the buildings whose walls and other bearing elements are made of wood.
