Estimation of measurement uncertainty when determining compressive strength of mixtures

Andrea Strineka, Dalibor Sekulić, Jasna Putrić Brkić, Sanja Lopuh

Abstract

The procedure for estimating measurement uncertainty during determination of compressive strength according to HRN EN 13286-41 is presented. It is emphasized that two types of measurement uncertainty should be determined (A and B) and for test methods in which this determination is possible in practical work. The objective of the paper is to show that the measurement uncertainty information is one of the data that contribute to higher quality of measurement results and to the improvement of quality control systems in laboratory conditions.
